Restore to Love - Step 1 - Be Love

What Relationship Is For

Imagine you are hanging in the middle of a totally white and empty room. How long would you exist? You are still you, but you cannot understand yourself without any reference. Without any existence around, you are nothing.

If there were a dot on the wall, you would be able to identify your own existence. First, there is the idea of “here” and “there.” Also, there is “smaller” and “bigger;” “far” and “near.” We get to understand ourselves through our relationships. It’s not just from relation to our physical worlds, but also from human relationships.

Relationship is the only way to experience who we are. From there, we experience, declare, proclaim, express, and complete our true self. Once you understand this, you will look at relationships differently. It’s not about what to get, but what to give.

Where can we empower? Where can we encourage? Where can we bless? What can we create? What can we offer? We shine lights to see what’s in others and ourselves. We cannot do this alone. We came here for each other!

What True Love Is

Have you been around those with true love? They see who you really are and give yourself back to you. They are not looking to get anything from you, but to give everything to you, without asking for anything in return. By giving unconditional love, they experience it.

However, it doesn’t mean that these people would stay in an unhealthy relationship. They do respect themselves, as they do others. True love always helps others to be mature and independent. They are looking for win-wins. They understand staying in an unhealthy relationship is not helpful to anyone.

The relationship of true love is always without obligations. In true love, there is only liberty. Love and liberty are of the same source. Love always respects free will. We can always love others, even at the point of going different directions. We can be honest without blaming or pointing out faults. This kind of relationship can actually be full of love and long lasting. There is no longer any condition or any limitation.

Be Love

The good news is that Love is within you. Love Himself creates you in His image and likeness. You are Love already. You just have to remember it. Decide that you are Love, and love accordingly. You always have a choice to be who you really are. As soon as you decide – you are!

When you choose to be love, you will not be seeking Love outside. You will become the source of Love, which you have always been looking for. You adore, appreciate and accept others for who they are. You become dependable, trustworthy, and kind. And, you finally find that someone you have always been looking for – your true self. Once you were lost, but now you are found.

You will always be ‘in Love.’ Your satisfaction will depend only on you. You will discover there are many desirable qualities God has created in you. You’ll learn to really appreciate the greatest gift God has granted – Himself to you.

You will not look to get, because you will realize your cup is already running over. You have more than enough Love to share. And this living water within you never runs out. You’ll enjoy those in your life, but you won’t depend on anyone to satisfy you.  And certainly you will never pull yourself away again for any reasons. If someone chooses to walk away, Love will simply respect their freewill and let them go.

There is only one deal: You are Love. The deal will always be on, because you always will be. You love because it reflects yourself, the Godliness created in you. You experience Love by giving yourself unconditionally. “Greater Love has none than this that a man gives up his life for his friend.”

God’s True Love To You

Seeing through the eyes of Love, you have a clearer perspective about God’s love to you. God doesn’t need to seek Love from outside. He is Love. From Love Himself, He adores, appreciates, and accepts you for who you are. He is dependable, trustworthy, and kind. He is always in Love and satisfied. His contentment does not depend on anything or anyone because He is All-Sufficient within Himself.

He is not looking to get anything from you because His cup is always running over. He has more than enough Love to share. And this living water within Him never runs out. He enjoys those who desire to stay near. However, He doesn’t depend on anyone to satisfy Him. He will not change His nature for any reason. If someone chooses to walk away, He’ll simply respect their freewill and let them go.

He is Love, always. He experiences the greatest Love by giving Himself unconditionally. Relationship is also the only way God can experience Himself. God is looking to do this: “Where can I empower? Where can I encourage? Where can I bless? What can I create? What can I offer? Where can I shine light to help others realize the Godliness in them?” And by giving love to us, God experiences Love.
